Dated Best Before Products Sale

According to the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI):

  • “Best before” refers to quality, not safety

  • Food may still be safe to eat after this date, but might lose some freshness, taste, or texture

  • If it looks, smells, and tastes fine, it is generally okay to consume

  • It is legal to sell food past its best-before date if it is still fit for consumption

That means you can enjoy great products at lower prices—just with slightly reduced peak quality.

Good for your wallet. Good for the planet. Still good to eat.
